Blair, was born in Ottawa and came to BC on a football scholarship. After graduating from the University of Victoria with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, Blair became a Youth Probation Officer. Blair says that, “Probation was a challenging and very rewarding career”. He met some great people and had a lot of fun working within the justice system where “personal integrity” was the key. His career with Youth Probation lasted 30 years! After retiring, Blair started Awards and Trophies Head Quarters and finds it “just pure fun”. He loves the creativity involved in developing new awards or graphic design for a customer and almost everything else required to run this business. He feels the ‘best part’ of the business is working with the clients. The big difference is that these clients are always happy with what we do! That is borne out by a reorder rate of over 98%. Blair says that, “although some clients we only speak to once a year, it’s like we talked only last week and it is great to reconnect with them and exciting to work together to create a new award or set of awards.”
Blair has been married for 28 years and has a grown up daughter in Vancouver. Besides work, Blair also raced sports and formula cars for 20 year. Indy, Formula 1 racing remains his real passion he also is an avid golfer, hockey player and loves woodworking, gardening, skiing, antiques and home renovation. Blair is the only “good” one handed putter I have every seen.
